Camps & seminars
School is out. We are open.
Multi-day camps through March Break and the summer, activity camps built around a single skill, and specialty seminars for people who want to go deep on one thing. All of it coached by the same team that runs the regular programme — the camps are not staffed out.
What we run
Four formats.
Ages 9–15
March Break camp
A full week of mornings while school is closed. Striking, grappling and conditioning taught as a block, so a young athlete finishes the week able to do things they could not do on the Monday.
- Mornings, so the rest of the day is yours
- No experience and no uniform required
- All levels train together, coached in streams
Ages 9–15
Summer camps
Short, intense intakes across the summer, including the week before school goes back. Small deliberate capacity — these are coached sessions, not daycare with mats.
- Four mornings per intake, twelve hours of coaching
- Capacity is capped so every child gets corrected
- Runs whether or not they train with us the rest of the year
Ages 9–15
Activity camps
Built around one skill rather than a broad syllabus — a clinch camp, a takedown camp, a pad-work camp. For the child who has found the thing they like and wants more of it.
- One skill, worked in depth, for several days
- Good for a plateau in the regular programme
- Open to members and non-members
Ages 12+ · members and public
Specialty seminars
Two-hour technique workshops for teens and adults. A single topic, taken further than a regular class has time for, with enough repetition that it survives contact.
- Two hours on one topic
- Members and the public both welcome
- Run as standalone sessions or as a short series
Who teaches it
Kru Martello Jones
A multiple time amateur and professional champion who enjoys passing on knowledge and experience — and who is still on the mat every week.
- Coaching, not exhibition — he teaches the classes he is named on
- Certified by both bodies that sanction the sport in Ontario
- Has coached a student to a world youth title
- The full competitive record is on the coaches page
Dates are set per intake.
Camps and seminars are announced as they are scheduled rather than running to a fixed calendar. Ask and we will tell you what is next and what it costs.
